Sprout
Sprout is a fictional app that I helped create with my group of five people for our UI Design class. Our assignment was to come up with an app that could help people in their everyday lives by assigning a leader and dividing up the roles among the team. Together, we researched different app ideas before deciding to combine two ideas that I had suggested. The two ideas we merged were breaking bad habits and planting a tree. In the end, we created an app focused on breaking bad habits, with the reward being the planting of a tree once someone reached a goal.
The roles were divided as follows: Emma handled branding, icons, and artwork; Sudip worked on wireframes and content; Cheyenne focused on UI design; Shaurya took care of the UX plan and strategy; and my role was to create the prototype and assemble the presentation. Each of us provided feedback to ensure the assignment was the best it could be and helped out when needed.
I presented our app, Sprout, in front of the class with valuable help and input from everyone in the group. The presentation went smoothly, and I felt confident as I explained our app’s concept and how we combined two ideas into one unique solution. The team worked together to ensure the presentation was organized, with each person contributing their expertise to make it as polished as possible.
In the end, all of us were happy with both the app and the presentation. It was a great feeling to see our hard work come together so well, and the positive feedback we received from the class and instructor made it even more rewarding. Each of us was proud of the final product, and were pleased with how well we collaborated throughout the process.
