Market Coffee

Market Coffee is a fictional company that one of my instructors assigned each of us to create an app for. We were tasked with designing everything from the logo and color scheme to the various pages of the app. This included designing three different layouts for the product page based on the selected product (one of which is featured), as well as the rewards section, promotions section, menu, cart, confirmation page, and more.
For the logo, my idea was to design it as a latte, with the business name forming the foam design. To achieve this, I chose the font Molle for the logo text. I also used Molle for the main headers throughout the app to establish a clear hierarchy, guiding the user’s attention to the most important elements.
For the body text, I chose Poppins because it pairs well with Molle and offers a wide range of font weights, allowing me to test and find the best options for my design. I used bold italic for subheadings, “or” options, and buttons; bold for menu list items, section titles, numbers, and cup sizes; medium for the options list on the product pages, millilitre measurements, and stand-in text for card info; and medium italic for the descriptions on the menu and listing items in the cart. Each of these choices was made to emphasize the hierarchy on each page.
