E-Commerce

I began this project with the goal of adding a new piece to my portfolio, planning to design a website that showcases the crafts and hobbies I enjoy. I chose the colour palette, started photographing some of the pieces, and developed a concept for the logo design. After spending some time figuring out how to wireframe and envision the website’s layout, the idea evolved into an e-commerce site and I decided to run with it.

My research and design inspiration came from various craft websites, Pinterest, and other e-commerce websites. While wireframing the landing (home) page, I initially struggled with deciding what to feature beneath the Hero section. However, once I overcame that challenge, the wireframes for the rest of the page and the other pages fell into place. To keep things organized, I colour-coded most of the wireframes, which also helps me to visualize the final designs. Whether it’s a craft, shoes, clothing, or other types of online stores, the layouts I created are flexible and can be adapted for different e-commerce purposes. Although my original concept didn’t work out as planned, I still achieved my goal of adding a new piece to my portfolio.
